Dr. Wadhwa has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with a minor in Health. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is a clinical therapist at the Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, Outpatient Group Practice in Hoffman Estates and Elk Grove Village.
As the Director of TriQual Living Center (www.triqualiving.com), she specializes in the prevention, reduction, and management of chronic stress, burnout, compassion fatigue and pain, as well as addiction and recovery.
She serves as an adjunct faculty member at Governors State University and instructs classes in the Master’s level Addiction Studies program. Dr. Wadhwa consulted for the Great Lakes ATTC and the DASA ATR program, as well as Thresholds, where she facilitated various groups and developed the psychoeducational/group curriculum.
She has published various articles on topics relating to addiction, stress, and pain, most recent being three entries in the Encyclopedia of Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery (Sage Publications, 2008). Dr. Wadhwa is working on a daily technique book to reduce, manage and prevent stress and a manual on chronic stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout for professionals. She also develops activities for a variety of psycho-educational lectures, with three manuals currently available.
